About
Evan Philburn is the Manager of Suicide Prevention at Genesee Health System (GHS). In this role he leads county-wide suicide prevention initiatives and supports in-school mental health services. Prior to Genesee Health System, Evan spent seven years at Genesee Health Plan (GHP) as the Genesee County Veterans Health Navigator where he helped support the Genesee County Veterans Office in supporting Veterans’ needs and conducting health risk assessments. Evan also spent seven years in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. While in the Marine Corps, Evan attended the University of Michigan-Flint where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Health Administration with a minor in Public Health. Evan went on to Central Michigan University where he then obtained his Masters in Health Administration. Evan strongly believes that “the greatest wealth is health” which drives him to make a difference in his community.
